How does Expecto work?
Advertising setup

Expecto will arrange the semantic kernel in less than a minute. To do that it uses your website’s data as well as its own database of words. After that Expecto will create advertising text and an advertising campaign. It will send login and password to your new Yandex.Direct account to your email. In what way are you different from Yandex.Metrika?

Yandex.Metrika is a service for general website analytics.

Yandex.Metrika and Expecto are different tools for different purposes. In some places they intersect. “Expecto” has a number of advantages in the following points:

How can I sign up on “Expecto”?

You will need to enter your phone number and email address. You will receive your login and password there.

How can I log in?

Enter your login and password. Your login is either the phone number you used to sign up or your email address. In case you forget your password, you can click the “receive password by SMS” button and you will get it within several minutes.

What does 14-day free trial mean?

For those who are new to Expecto we offer to use our service for free for two weeks.

For a week you can test all the tools except for call-tracking: creating advertising campaigns, connecting active campaigns, collecting statistics, tracking inefficient sources, calculating advertising revenue, working in CRM with applications from the site, setting capture forms. After 14 days, all functions except Creating advertising and CRM-systems will be blocked.

To enable paid tools, you need to replenish the balance of your personal account.

How can I extend the free trial?

The extension of the trial period in "Expecto" is not provided. But in exceptional cases it is possible. If you contact us via chat there is a chance that the issue will be resolved individually. But we can’t promise anything.

How can I change my password?

In order to avoid unpleasant situations, only our managers have the access to change the password. Contact us via chat and we will resolve this issue as quickly as possible.

I forgot my “Expecto” password. What should I do?

In order to log in enter the phone number you used to sign up and press “receive password by SMS”. You will receive your password by SMS.

I forgot my Yandex.Direct password. What should I do?

When you created your first advertising campaign on “Expecto” a Yandex.Direct account was automatically created for you. Your login and temporary password were sent to your email. Try to find this letter. We advise using the search bar on your email to find it quicker.

If you fail to find it contact us via chat. We will send it again for you.

If you changed your temporary password to a permanent one, follow the Yandex’s password reset procedure.

Is it possible to create two or more accounts with one phone number or email?

No, it isn’t.

Code setting

Why do I need to set a code?

First of all, the code activates statistics collection and the “Analytics” section.

Secondly, the Order Catcher and the callback tools will not work without it, which means that applications from the site will not reach "Expecto". If the service does not have statistics and applications, then you will not be able to optimize your advertising.

How to set code if the site operates on WordPress?

There are three ways to set the "Expecto" code on a site running on CMS WordPress:

Method 1

Copy our code on the interface of your Expecto account. Section "Settings" > "Tracking Code".
Open the administration panel of your WordPress site and go to the Appearance> Widgets section. Add the HTML code widget. In the field for the code, paste the copied "Expecto" code and save the changes.

Method 2

After you copy the “Expecto” code from the “Settings”> “Tracking Code” section, you need to go to the administration panel of your WordPress site, go to the Appearance> Editor section. Select the footer file (footer.php) and press “Update file”.
Paste the "Expecto" code right in front of the tag </body> and click "Update file".

Method 3

If the previous methods did not suit you for one reason or another, then there is a possibility of directly modifying the footer.php file.

Attention! If you are not a programmer, then use this method only as your last resort.

You need to go to the hosting of your site or connect to it through an FTP client and follow wp-content / themes / your template / footer.php.
Select the footer.php file and click “Edit”. Paste the code before the tag </body> and click “Save Changes”. Done.

How to set code if the site operates on Bitrix?

You can copy the “Expecto” code on the interface of the “Expecto” personal account, the section “Settings” > “Tracking code”.

When you copy the code, go to your site. You need to switch to the “Administration” panel and follow the path: Settings > Product Settings > Sites > Site Templates.

Open the settings tab of the desired template and click “Change”.

In the edit bar, insert the "Expecto" code before the </body> tag, then click "Save." If your site uses several templates at once, then you need to insert a code in each of them.

How to set code if the site operates on LPgenerator?

Open the page in the LPgenerator editor.
Click the "Scripts" tool, click on the "Add Script" button. In the window that appears, paste the code copied from the “Expecto” interface in the “Settings” > “Tracking Code” section.
Name the script. Then, using the selector located in the upper right corner, set the position: “Inside the tag <HEAD>”.
Save the changes and the landing itself.

How to set code if the site operates on Wix?

If you have a free version of the Wix constructor, then you can’t set the code on the site.

Only Wix premium users who have connected a domain to the site have the ability to set the code. If you are one of such users, then this instruction is for you:

  1. Copy our code on the interface of your “Expecto” account. Section "Settings" > "Tracking Code".
  2. Open the site control panel.
  3. Click "Manage Site" > "Analytics Codes" > "+ New Tool" and select "New Code" in the drop-down menu.
    Paste the “Expecto” code.
  4. Select your domain. Note: The selection will only appear if you have more than one domain in your account.
  5. Enter code name.
  6. Where to add the code: Select "Add code to all pages."
  7. Where to place the code: Choose “Body - End”.
    Click Add.

How to set code on other constructors?

To start using “Expecto”, add code to each page of your site before the closing </body> tag.

You can check if the code is set correctly by yourself. To do this, go to the "Settings" > "Tracking Code" section on the "Expecto" personal account and click the "Check" button.

Where to get the code?

To copy the code, go to Settings > Tracking Code. Click the “Copy” button.

Where to paste the copied code?

Find the closing </body> tag on the page layout of your site. Paste the copied “Expecto” code in the line before the closing tag </body>. If the site has multiple pages, paste the code on each of them.

How to know that the code is installed correctly?

In your account, go to "Settings" > "Tracking Code" and click on the "Check" button.
If the code has been set up correctly, you will see the message: “Verification results: The code is installed correctly, enjoy your work”

I can’t set the code, what should I do?

If the code does not work correctly or you have difficulties installing it, please contact the "Expecto" support service.

To do this, go to the "Settings" > "Code Setting" section on the "Expecto" personal account and click the "Install My Code" button. In the window that appears, specify access to the site.

Can I set the code on two or more sites?

Technically, you can connect an unlimited number of sites, but we recommend creating one “Expecto” personal account for one site, so you can avoid confusion of different applications from different sites in one personal account and in statistics reports.

How to choose keywords?

When creating advertising campaigns, "Expecto" will automatically offer a set of key phrases based on the semantics of your site and the description of the services/goods that you advertise. From the suggested key phrases, choose the ones that suit you.

Why am I trying to create an advertisement, but it turns out as some kind of nonsense?

“Expecto” selects key phrases by which your ad will be displayed. Our algorithm does this on its own, without the help of people. Unfortunately, it is not yet so perfect as to ideally select key phrases. You can rely on the result of its work, but you can’t do it thoughtlessly. Remember to analyze and adjust your set of keywords.

What are negative keywords?

These are words and phrases for which the ad will not be shown for queries. For example, you sell stretch ceilings in St. Petersburg, but do not work in The Leningrad region. One of the keywords will be “stretch ceilings in St. Petersburg”, and one of the negative keywords will be “Vyborg”.

You can add them during the creation of advertising. To do this, in the second step, click the "Add Phrases" button.

What is the visitor’s price?

This is the maximum price you are willing to pay for one click on your ad. The actual click price is calculated in real time and will be less than this figure. If the actual click price is higher than the visitor’s price set by you, then your ad will simply not be displayed.

How can I see the ads that I had created?

At the moment, ads can only be viewed through Yandex.Direct / Google Adwords. We will send you the Yandex.Direct username and password to the email address specified during the signing up process. This happens automatically, immediately after creating an advertising campaign. To get access to the Google advertising account, contact us via chat.

How can I edit my advertising campaign?

How do I know how effective my ad campaign will be?

You can’t know the effectiveness of contextually targeted advertising in advance. Creating and launching a campaign is only a third of success. The main thing is its further optimization. We recommend getting into the contextually targeted advertising, starting with small budgets (5 000 – 10 000 rubles). When this amount is paid off, you will receive the first applications, you will be able to optimize and understand whether contextual advertising is suitable for you.

Why is my ad not showing?

If you have just created an advertising campaign, then it is being moderated. This usually takes 5 to 10 minutes. If the advertising campaign has already passed moderation, ads are being shown, but you do not see your ads, we recommend that you read this instruction - help.

Is there an autobidder?

There are no autobidders in the current version of Expecto. If you think that this function is necessary, please write us about it in the general topic for the development of “Expecto”.

Rates can be viewed in your account. To do this, select the "Settings" section.

We have both paid and free tools. Advertising creation, CRM-system (Transactions) and Targeted traffic are free and always available.

Paid tools:

Callback - 17 rubles per day + 15 rubles for each connection;
Dynamic call tracking - 65 rubles per day + 4 rubles per minute.

How much does advertising creation by our marketer cost?

How much does contextually targeted advertising cost?

It depends on your business and market competition.

How to replenish the balance of your personal account?

Go to the section "Finance"> "Balance replenishment" or click on the "plus sign" in the upper left corner, next to the login. Choose a convenient payment method and replenishment amount. Click on the "Replenish" button. The minimum replenishment amount is 500 rubles.

How to replenish the Yandex / Google advertising balance?

Go to "Advertising" > "My Advertising". Choose a replenishment amount and a convenient payment method. Click on the "Replenish" button.

The minimum replenishment of the advertising balance is 1,500 rubles. The amount of money that covers the cost of the clicks is the amount of money you replenish minus 20% VAT. “Expecto” does not charge a commission on your advertising budgets.

We do not recommend starting to work with contextually targeted advertising with such small amounts, because:

If you’re still not sure that contextual advertising is right for you, it’s best to replenish your account with 5,000 rubles. This budget will help to attract the first target customers with a small investment and to collect the minimum statistics that will make it possible to adequately decide whether you should invest in contextual advertising.

What are the payment methods?

Individuals and legal entities can pay “Expecto” by card or by non-cash settlement.

For non-cash settlements, you must enter the following details: Name of organization, TIN, KPP (if you do not have it, then duplicate the TIN in this field) and registered address.

What happens when the balance drops to zero rubles?

All functions, except for the creation of advertising campaigns and CRM, will be blocked. To make other functions work, replenish the balance of your personal account.

I have replenished the advertising balance, why is the amount is smaller?

We do not charge fees. Only the standard VAT of 20% is retained by Yandex and Google. When paying directly through Yandex or Google, it turns out the same way. 1,000 rubles for advertising, 200 rubles for VAT.

Can I pay with Yandex / Google promotional codes?

The budgets of advertising campaigns created by “Expecto” are paid only with money. But you can connect your advertising account to “Expecto”, pay for it with promotional codes directly through Yandex / Google.

Connecting advertisements

I already have advertisement. How can I connect it?

If you want to track the performance and optimize your existing advertising campaigns, connect them to “Expecto”. You can connect both Yandex.Direct and Google Adwords.

How can I copy image ads?

You can’t. The Yandex.Direct API does not allow you to retrieve any data from image ads except statistics.

Error: access to editing denied by your agency

You have an agency-made account. You need to contact the agency that created it so that they provide access to editing advertising campaigns. Only then can we link your Yandex.Direct account to Expecto's personal account.

Analytics

Why do I need the analytics section?

In the Analytics section, you can see reports for any period for each advertising system/campaign. This allows you to track the effectiveness of advertising and the trends of changes.

The Analytics section contains information about the number of visitors of the site, the number of orders made as a result of the clicks, the cost of one order, the total cost of advertising for the selected period and ROI - return on investment.

What does “transitions from VK”, “SEO” and “other” mean?

If you have an advertisement on Vkontakte with installed utm tags, “Expecto” will determine that the clicks came from this site and they will be displayed in the VK section. Referrals from search results fall into the SEO section. In the “Other” section, all other referrals to your site that were made according to sources without utm tags are included. For example, direct calls.

How often are referral statistics updated?

Yandex and Google automatically transfer data to “Expecto” several times a day. It makes sense to update statistics reports at the end of the working day.

How to upload statistics from “Expecto”?

Order Catcher and Callback

What are the differences between the capture form and callback form?

Order catchers are pop-ups that allow you to keep a user on your site. The capture form pops up when the visitor is about to leave the site. The callback form is constantly running on the site and is adapted for mobile devices.

If the user had left his contact information, but for some reason did not click on the button, the application will still be sent to your personal account. “Expecto” is the only service which has this function implemented.

How to enable and set up order catchers?

To connect order catchers, go to the “Callback” section and turn on the “sliders” to the right of the required capture forms. You can also edit them there: change the title and text of the form, the color and text of the button.

How do I find out about new orders?

There are three possible notification methods: SMS alerts, email, and callback. You can choose the combination of notifications that is convenient for you.

How to set up a callback?

To set up the callback function, go to the "Callback" > "Notifications" sections and activate the "Phone Call" item.

Then set up the call schedule: select at what time “Expecto” will inform you about new applications on weekdays and weekends.

NB: “Expecto” works according to Moscow time. If you live in a different time zone, please set up a call schedule for Moscow.

How to set up SMS notifications?

In your account, in the "Settings" section of the "Notifications" tab, write down the phone number to which messages about new applications will come. You can also set up notifications for customers who have left a request. This can be done in the Callback > Notifications section.

What are customer notifications?

When a user leaves a request on your website, "Expecto" automatically sends him an SMS about the successful execution of the order. This is customer notification. They can be set up in the Callback> Notifications section.

Can I get the email and the name of the customer?

If your site has forms for collecting email addresses, then “Expecto” will take their work into account. "Expecto" itself doesn’t possess this function yet. If you think this feature is necessary, contact us on social networks.

Is it possible to add chat-box function to your site using Expecto?

It is not. But if you have a third-party chat installed on your site, "Expecto" will capture the phone numbers and email addresses of your customers from it.

CRM (Deals)

Why do I need the Deals tab?

This is a CRM system. Use it so as not to lose customer contacts. This is where customer cards are created.

Each card contains the customer’s telephone number, the capture form, the source of the application and the key request, by which the referral was made. With connected call tracking or call back, it is possible to listen to a recorded conversation with a client. Customer cards can be added manually, if necessary.

What is an order from an unconnected advertising campaign?

Your site is advertising from an advertising account that is not connected to Expecto. This is an order from such an advertisement.

I left a request in all forms, why only one appeared in orders?

This happens when a user leaves contact information in several forms at once from one browser and within one day. Detailed information about such applications will become apparent if you hover over the application and click on the "Details" button.

Is it possible to connect several employees to one personal account?

You can log into one personal account simultaneously from several computers using the same username and password.

How to download transactions from CRM?

To download applications from the CRM system, click on the upload icon at the top of the CRM to the left of the search bar. When you hover over the icon, the prompt “Download CSV” will appear. Click it and the file will download automatically.

I have downloaded transactions, why are there some strange symbols instead of text?

If the data is not displayed correctly when opening the file, open Excel and click the "Data" tab. Next, in the "Get External Data" section, click "From Text". In the window that opens, select the Unicode UTF-8 file format and select the column delimiter, if necessary. Excel will display the data correctly.

Call-tracking

Why is call-tracking needed?

Call-tracking is a tool that allows you to determine from which Internet channel (SEO, contextually targeted advertising, display advertising, etc.) a client came if he called your company and did not leave a request on the site.

Each visitor to the site is assigned a unique phone number. When he calls, he is redirected to your call center. Later in your personal account you can see what specifically brought the user to your site.

As a result, you can track the performance of your ads more accurately. Consequently, exclude those that do not bring you orders. Hence save money.

How to set up call tracking?

Go to the "Settings" > "Functions" section and click on the "Connect" button in the Call-Tracking card. For this, it is necessary that the balance of your personal account exceeds 1950 rubles. If everything is in order, then you will need to fill out information about your numbers and click the "Connect" button. If the funds are insufficient, then you will automatically be redirected to the account replenishment form. After filling out the information, a tech-support specialist will contact you to check everything.

How to disable call tracking?

Contact us using the "Ask a Question" function or directly through the chat. Tell our employee that you need to disable call-tracking and we will disable it.

Can I use my phone numbers?

No, you can’t.

What numbers will website visitors see if I enable call tracking?

Each visitor will be shown a unique number with a prefix of the region in which they are located. For example, people from Moscow will see the prefix 495, and from Tula - 4872.

Optimization

How does optimization work?

Optimization allows you to evaluate the effectiveness of each key phrase/site/ad depending on the number of applications and the average cost of the order. All ineffective advertisements can be disabled in two clicks.

What is expense, potential revenue and order value?

The “Expense” column displays the amount spent on clicks on a campaign, phrase or site for a specific period.

In the column "Potential revenue" displays the amount that can be obtained by all deals realized and closed. The potential revenue is calculated as follows: the number of orders for an advertising campaign / keyword is multiplied by the average bill, and then subtracts the costs of this advertising campaign / keyword. It turns out that this is the income that you could get if each order became a sale at the price of an average check. It is this metric that allows you to assess the potential of a key phrase or site.

The column “Order value” displays the amount spent on attracting each order for the selected campaign, site or phrase. The cost of an order is calculated as follows: the cost per click is divided by the number of orders.

Where can I find the cooperation agreement?

Where can I see the financial report?

To view financial reports on "Expecto", go to the "Finance" section in the menu of your personal account, then in the "Report for the period" tab. To view a more detailed report, select the Daily Drilldown tab.

How to get closing documents?

To receive closing documents, contact us via chat and we will send them to you in digital form. If you need the original invoice and the certificate of completion, we can send them to you by mail.

Integration with other services

Is there integration with Vkontakte, Facebook, Instagram, MyTarget?

You can create an advertising account on Vkontakte using “Expecto”. To do this, go to the "Advertising" section, click on the "Enable" button in the "Advertising on the Vkontakte social network " section. Integration with Facebook and MyTarget is currently under development.

Is there integration with CRM?

“Expecto” can integrate with amoCRM and Bitrix24. In order for orders from “Expecto” to fall into CRM, you need to install the “Expecto” application from the amoCRM or Bitrix24 application store.

Integration with other CRMs is also possible, but only if you have a programmer who can create webhooks.

Go to the section "Settings" > "Integration" on your "Expecto" account. Write down the address of your handler. We will send them a POST request with parameters, a list of which is given at the bottom of the page.
